Main duties of this role will include:

  • To provide administrative support for DTS Management in all aspects of the Import / Export business.
  • Reception Duties
  • To photocopy, scan and file documents as required
  • To receive incoming telephone calls, and taking
  • messages
  • To make calls to clients and service providers as and
  • when required
  • To maintain and update job files, inputting information
  • on the in-house computer software
  • To maintain stock and stationary management of
  • materials used in the office
  • Provide administrative support to key accounts & finance department

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • The ideal candidate will be computer literate, with a good working knowledge of word and excel an advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills with a good level of English both written & verbal
  • A good level of numeracy will be required for this position
  • An understanding of world Geography would also be an advantage but not essential
  • Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills Attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
  • Ability to prioritise and meet relevant deadlines in a demanding environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision in a proactive & methodical manner

Personal qualities

  • A person that is conscientious, enthusiastic and demonstrates a willingness to learn the business
  • A well-presented individual who is good communicator

Qualifications required

GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C preferably including English and Maths (or NVQ equivalent).

Things to consider

You will be working in a small team in a small office. The successful candidate will be required to provide consent for a Basic Disclosure check to be carried out, due to the nature of our business. Free car parking is available at the office. The nearest train station is East Grinstead (EGR) and local bus stop at Dormans Park Road (2 min walk from office).
