Duties within the role will include:

  • Supporting the salon team with treatments.
  • Stripping down and preparing treatment rooms.
  • Meeting and greeting clients.
  • Booking appointments over the phone.
  • Answering emails.

Aswell as assisting with the following treatments:

  • Facial Skin Care Treatment.
  • Manicure and Pedicure Services.
  • Shape Eyebrows and Eyelash Services.
  • Waxing Services.
  • Eyelash Extensions.
  • Waxing, Tinting & Bleaching.
  • Develop and Maintain Effectiveness at Work.
  • Promote Services or Products to Customers.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the salon and treatment rooms.
  • Massages.
  • Carry out appropriate health and safety practices.

You will also be required to comply with Health & Safety regulations and complete the Apprenticeship programme within the timescales outlined by the Business Administration Vocational Trainer.

The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description. The particular duties and responsibilities attached to the post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed.

The Intermediate Apprenticeship Framework training programme in Business Administration is primarily delivered in the workplace unless, should you not possess suitable concession qualifications, you are required to attend college to undertake Functional Skills Qualifications.

Qualifications required

  • A minimum of 4 GCSE’s at grade D or above (or the equivalent) to include English and Maths.  
  • As part of the pre-employment check process, proof of qualifications will be required.

Future prospects

It is intended that - providing you successfully complete your apprenticeship - you will become a permanent member of staff.

Things to consider

You will be required to work every Saturday and have Mondays as your day off. There may be a need to work some overtime as and when required. The nature of the job role dictates that you will be working in a salon environment which will involve long periods of being active. The job is in a location where transport will need to be considered. If you are selected to attend a second interview you may be asked to complete a work trial for one day. The salary will be reviewed every year or upon experience. Holiday entitlement will be as standard. About the employer

High Grade House is a newish Skin Clinic offering all types of Beauty Treatments and Advanced skin treatments. Here we work alongside Nurses and Surgeons also offering a wide range of cosmetic treatments. We are a very busy salon with a good reputation and work ethic, we have four treatment room, large kitchen staff room, shower room, Manicure station and pedicure station along with a large reception area for clients. High Grade House has a lovely traditional feel to it, with very glamorous shabby chic décor and chandeliers. Our staff here all get on great and make up an amazing team who keep it fun at the same time.
