Responsibilities to include (but not limited to):

  • To answer telephone calls and emails from customers who have queries on their bookings such as special requests, cancellations and refunds and amendments to existing bookings.
  • Updating social media (Facebook and twitter accounts).
  • Updating review websites and responding to customer feedback.
  • Contacting Airline and Suppliers.
  • Sending documentation to customers.

Qualifications required

The candidate will have at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) C or above, including English and Maths.

Important information: QA’s Apprenticeship programmes may be funded in part by the European Union through the European Social Fund, which supports the development of employment opportunities and a skilled workforce. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds, £7.05 an hour for anyone aged 21-24, and £7.50 an hour for anyone aged 25 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Training provider

Approximately 3% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 17% is done in the workplace, through workplace units, face-to-face meetings with your QA Assessor, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
