About the employer

We are an organisation that is dedicated to ensuring that scientists and science technicians perform at their best. Scientists are a diverse group of people and their work is far-reaching; they make enormous contributions to improving the world around us. Whether it is in relation to the food that we eat, the cars that we drive, or the medicine that we need, scientists are dedicated to solving some of humanity’s biggest problems. To help scientists perform at their best we, the Science Council, set standards for them. Scientists are changing the world, therefore it is important that they make improvements that benefit us all. The Science Council ultimately wants scientist to keep their skills up-to-date and continue to innovate in a way that benefits the public. In 2003, we were given the right to be able to create a register. We work with companies and universities to try and get as many scientists on our register so that they can continue to perform at their best.
