The successful candidate will undertake social media management and search engine optimisation duties.

Full training will be provided and there will be great deal of variety as to the tasks that you are asked to perform.

For instance, with search engine optimisation, you will learn how to audit a website to identify areas of improvement using a variety of industry leading software. Once a plan had been worked out you would then be involved in its implementation.

As to social media it is quite likely that you already have some experience with these platforms on a personal basis. The training that you would receive will allow you to develop your skills commercially and for you to undertake the necessary tasks to increase following and engagement etc.

The activities would be classed as (but not limited to):

  • Creating Accounts
  • Optimising Accounts
  • Posting to Accounts
  • Replying to Customers
  • Growing the Accounts
  • Reaching New Prospect

Your skills will develop quickly and you will be quite surprised at how much there is to learn.

All work will be undertaken from our office in St Austell which is easily reached with close by transport links as well as car parks

You will work towards achieving a Level 2 apprenticeship in IT Social Media & Digital Marketing including work based and knowledge components, an employee rights and responsibilities qualification, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) and if required Functional Skills.

Other information

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
