  • To supervise children in the day to day routine.
  • Helping with daily diaries.
  • Ensuring that strangers do not get let into the building.

  • The ability to relate and interact with children.
  • Must be able to pass a DBS check & have right to work on the UK.
  • Must want to work with children & understand the other responsibilities that go hand in hand with working in a nursery.

  • Ability to develop positive relationships with parents, carers and other childcare professionals.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Good observation and organisational skills.

Things to consider

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour from 1st April 2017. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
