Apprentice administrator for busy retail sales office.

A pleasant telephone manner is required for taking sales queries over the phone

Job entails

  • Processing orders on our SAP data base and creating courier labels ready for warehouse to dispatch
  • You will be expected to in time, to help customers identify which replacement parts they need or help them decide what trampoline or bouncy castle best suits their needs.
  • Duties may include helping with photos shoots of new products off site and attending various trade shows
  • Our office is a busy and happy place to work selling fun garden play equipment

Qualifications required

Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitabilit

Applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs (including English and Maths) at grades A-D or 9- 3 or equivalent

Apprentices need to be employed for minimum of 30 hours a week in the industry with a contract of employment.
Proof of qualifications would be required before you can be accepted onto the apprenticeship programme

Future prospects

We would be looking to offer a full time permanent job at end of apprenticeship.
Our company is expanding into different areas, we also sell Aria to the print industry, and different products are being manufactured not on our website, there is scope to change to a different area of our company in the future.

Things to consider

Desk based job in front of computer from 9am to 5pm. Busy times the phone rings continuously. Phone customers can sometimes be quite rude, it can be upsetting at times, you need to keep your composure and do not to take offence.

Training provider

Qualification: Level 2 Business Administration
College Attendance: There is no regular college attendance required as the qualification is delivered almost entirely in the workplace.
Training for all job specific tasks will be given. In addition the apprentice will have the support and guidance of a qualified assessor from the college, who will make on-site visits every 6-8 weeks. There may be the occasional need to attend either the Otley or Easton campus for short training courses and tests.

Pay Rates: The current NMW rate for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour with effect from 1st April 2017. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training.
