You’ll provide our management team with reports and data to maximise sales and performance, receive fantastic learning and development and make a real contribution to The Telegraph’s success.

You can expect to:

  • Provide insight to our Customer Engagement Centre’s managers and wider team on sales performance
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the centre
  • Create reports to show where any staffing requirements are needed to help achieve the proposed and planned sales performance
  • Create reports using Microsoft Excel

Future prospects

Following successful completion of your apprenticeship, you’ll have gained invaluable experience of driving performance in a contact centre environment. You’ll be well-positioned to apply for a fully-fledged Data Analyst role in our Customer Engagement Centre or an entry-level role in our Commercial or Customer departments.

Things to consider

From 1st April 2017 The National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. **Please note, this vacancy may close before the closing date if we receive high numbers of applications**

Training provider

The apprenticeship programme will consist of:

  • A fully embedded induction programme delivered by the employer and Outsource
  • Allocation of an Outsource assessor who will carry out regular assessment, mentoring and support visits
  • Off the job training at one of Outsource’s training centres
  • On the job training delivered by the employer
  • Quarterly formal progress review meetings with the Outsource assessor and employer

The apprenticeship will consist of the following elements:

  • National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) – This part of the qualification is assessed on the job through observations of performance, professional discussions, product evidence, professional discussions and Q&A sessions to judge job competency
  • Knowledge and Understanding – This part of the qualification is to ensure all the teaching and learning through on the job development and off the job training is retained and demonstrated through performance in your job role
  • Functional Skills – This part of the programme provides those apprentices who have not achieved GCSE’s in English and Maths the opportunity to gain a qualification in English, Mathematics and ICT. Those candidates that have achieved GCSE’s in these subjects may be exempt from taking functional skills
