The vacancy is for an apprentice screen printer whose responsibilities will include pre-press work (preparing screens), screen printing all associated tasks aligned with this.

Daily Duties include:

  • Designing screen print patterns
  • Preparing screen printing stencils
  • Mixing and loading ink
  • Cleaning machines
  • Troubleshooting technological problems
  • Maintaining screen printing equipment and drying and folding screen printed items.

You will also be responsible for some administrative tasks, such as keeping records of work completed, recording stock levels etc. You will have to manage your workload and be able to work well within a team.

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour from 1st April 2017. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
