Working with this leading Photography Studio in Harrogate as a Photography Studio Assistant, you will have responsibility for supporting our photographers at photo/video shoots and for carrying out post photo-shoot editing and re-touching images for primarily the property sector and for product photography.

  • Working on high spec PC hardware using Adobe Creative Suite software
  • Working with a high volume of images, ensuring high quality is always sustained.
  • Maintaining consistency in terms of colour and airbrushing.
  • Prioritising workload according to Service Level Agreements/Urgent work requests.
  • Working with a sense of urgency whilst retaining high quality of work.
  • Identifying and addressing problems; helping to improve processes where possible.
  • Supporting photographers at photo and video shoots
  • Assisting and contributing to our Marketing and Social Media approach

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Knowledge of editing images using Adobe Creative Suite software & Photoshop, although full training will be provided.
  • Capability to work to deadlines in line with client expectations
  • Experience of photographic studio/product re-touching would be desirable
  • Post Production knowledge within a digital photographer environment is desirable
  • Ability to maintain excellent quality of work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills and time management
  • Strong IT skills

Qualifications required

  • GCSE grades C or above in Maths and English or AS levels (or equivalent) would be an advantage.

A Level 2 Apprenticeship is delivered entirely in the workplace where you will gain knowledge, understanding and skills on the job. An Assessor from Leeds City College will visit you on a regular basis to complete your college work. If you do not have grade C-A in English/Maths we will help you achieve the Functional Skills at college.
