As a software apprentice you will be responsible for developing client solutions through the design, build and test processes. 

  • You will use developer platforms and tools from the Microsoft ecosystem, including C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server and Azure services.
  • You will also be required to engage with the company’s non-technical customers, training academy learners and third-party software developers, supporting them. 
  • You will have some experience of developing front-end or back-end web-based solutions, perhaps having built your own website or assisted with the development of client systems in a previous role

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Experience of C#, Java or Javascript-based frameworks. 
  • Experience of using HTML and/or REST APIs.
  • Experience of relational SQL databases and/or No-SQL databases.
  • The ability to communicate clearly; both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience of customer service is an advantage.

Training provider

Approximately 11% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 9% is done in the workplace, through online training, face-to-face meetings with your QA Technical Skills Coach, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
