This is a varied role with the key duties initially including:

  • Dealing with goods coming in and out
  • Processing the goods paperwork and inputting information onto the system using the internal system
  • Hand scanning goods and preparing for dispatch
  • Monitoring and producing reports on stock levels
  • Ordering stock
  • Dealing with any delivery issues or queries
  • Dealing with returned and faulty goods under warranty
  • Providing technical support to customers

Things to consider

From April 2017 the National Minimum Wage for apprentices increases to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training. 16-18 year olds won’t be required to work more than 40 hours per week. ** Under NO circumstances must the employer be contacted direct. All enquiries MUST go through Starting Off. **
