    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Duties include:

  • Dealing with customer queries by email and phone.
  • Sending invoices to customers for buffets and conferences.
  • Chasing up customer late payments.
  • General filing and record keeping.
  • Taking calls and passing on information to relevant Dept.

  • You will need to be eager to assist others, keen to learn, take constructive feedback, be professional yet friendly to colleagues and clients alike. This is a fast-paced job, so organisation is key.
  • Good IT skills and Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English are essential.
  • Being able to think on your feet and plan ahead is important as well as being confident on the phone

Qualifications required

English and Maths grade C (GCSE or equivalent) or above.
