    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

    Monday - Friday: 8.00am - 5.00pm, with a day out for college.

Your day to day duties involved in this role will include the following:

  • Invoicing.
  • Filing.
  • Answering the phone.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers.
  • Raising work orders.

You will report directly to Office Manager who will support and develop you throughout your training programme.

  • Willingness to support and guide others.

Personal qualities

  • You are also required to have a good ability to multi-task, be able to work as part of a team and be able to manage and prioritise yourself on a daily basis in the office environment.

Qualifications required

  • Although no formal qualifications are required, we would ask you have basic computer skills inclusive of Microsoft Office / Outlook / Word and hold a very polite and confident telephone manner.

Future prospects

Possible progression on to Level 3 for the right candidate.
