As an Apprentice Team Member, you'll be working for one of the biggest restaurant chains in the world.  If you've visited one of our restaurants before, you will probably have an idea of what is involved in working here.

Alongside your day to day training you will be working towards your L2 Hospitality Team Member Standard, which will involve a combination of social learning experience, delivered on a 121 basis in your work place by one of our expert trainers every 4-6 weeks via face to face visits or remotely over telephone or Skype. The apprenticeship is a structured, learner and employer focused development programme designed to create opportunities for lifelong knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Your Daily Duties will include:

Front of house:

To provide genuine hospitality with a smile and sell KFC products to our customers in line with KFC’s high Brand standards.  To cook fries and/or other miscellaneous products of the Company in an efficient courteous and friendly manner while keeping the areas and equipment concerned clean and tidy.

Middle/Back of house:

To prepare, cook and assemble KFC products to the expected standards of quality utilising approved operational procedures, whilst maintaining clean and sanitary working conditions and adhering to all food safety management procedures.

Wages:

16 to 17: £4.05
18 to 20: £5.60
21 to 24: £7.05
25 and over: £7.50

Things to consider

Due to the nature of the business, handling raw meat, specifically chicken, is a requirement for Back of House staff and if you wish to progress further within the Company. Team Leaders and above would be expected the handle raw meat. As a team member you will be based in one store and may help other stores in the area based upon business needs. If you develop to Team Leader and above, the expectation is that employees will be flexible with travel within reasonable distance. The key dates are to be used as a guide only. Should the right candidate be found, this vacancy may close early. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour from 1st April 2017. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
