  1. Support Second Home’s IT Operation and Deliver excellent customer experience (including, but not exclusively, internet, telephony, photocopiers and printers, meeting room tech and AV equipment)
  2. Ensure consistency of service across sites
  3. Manage all third-party relationships, securing the most economical option for the business
  4. Facilities support across sites.
    1. Liaise with organisation wide contracts with third parties for cost efficient IT solutions.
    2. Work with third parties to design and implement efficient, customer-led systems, causing minimal disruption to existing services
    3. Be the point of contact for member and third party issues or enquiries and work with the Second Home team and suppliers to resolve them quickly
    4. Feed into the wider business operation, helping to design and develop process and systems that makes the organisation’s operation it’s most efficient

Hours: 9am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, 45 hours a week. We are looking for somebody 18 years and over because of the hours.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  1. Proven experience of some or all of the following: Network administration and maintenance, wireless networks, Apple, Microsoft Windows and Office, Google apps for business, Salesforce, IP telephony, print management systems, basic server management
  2. Ability to work quickly and efficiently while safeguarding the security of networks, data and equipment for Second Home and our members
  3. Plan, organise and support Second Home’s IT projects

Personal qualities

  1. Independent ability to research technical problems and solutions.
  2. Interest in learning and taking on increasingly complex tasks
  3. Ability to work individually and within a team and willingness to work flexible/odd hours at times, based on needs
  4. Personable and an enthusiasm for Second Home’s mission

Qualifications required

  1. Minimum grade C-A* in five GCSE, including Maths and English (or Functional Skills level 2 in both).
  2. You will also have good knowledge of IT including all Microsoft packages.

Future prospects

1. Full-time opportunity may be available if the candidate excels in the role. 2. Higher level Apprenticeship available following successful completion of the initial Apprenticeship.
