We have an opportunity for someone to join our team as an apprentice working for our small professional team, a long standing family run business. This is an internal position which has occurred due to office restructure.

  • General reception and administration duties including meet and greet, answering the phone and emails
  • Administration and registration of candidates, including paper and electronic filing
  • Use of the company database and client management system, inputting accurate details
  • Liaising with consultants
  • Other administrative tasks as and when appropriate
  • All training will be given in order to complete the above duties to the best of your ability

Things to consider

The Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From April 2017 the ANMW was set at £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.

Training provider

The successful candidate will undertake an Intermediate Apprenticeship In Business and Administration at Level 2 The training will be carried out by Brockenhurst College in the workplace however they may have to attend college for a minimum 5 days per year including a full induction day.

Business and Administration Level 2 QCF

Certificate Functional Skills in English, Maths and IT to Level 1

ERR Certificate (Employment Rights and Responsibilities)

Training will be part of the contracted hours agreed that makes up the working week and include off the job training by the employer, you may be required to be trained on First Aid at Work or shadow other staff to develop in your role and comply with company training policies and procedures.
