This role will be responsible for assisting the Facilities Painter with painting duties on site whilst learning skills and techniques to gain an NVQ qualification and status as a qualified Painter and Decorator.

As an Apprentice Painter at Envigo your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Follow instructions from Team Leader and Facilities Management
  • Attend training courses and staff briefings
  • Assist other team members
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed
  • Liaise with other departments when carrying out work on decoration.
  • Update customers when work has been completed
  • Liaise with the Facilities helpdesk
  • Communicate with Team Leader.

Qualifications required

Training provider

You will study for an Intermediate Level Apprenticeship in Painting and Decorating.  You will gain:

  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting Occupations
  • Level 2 Diploma in Painting and Decorating.

 One day a week will be spent in college where you will:

  •  Learn the theory and complete a technical certificate that underpins the knowledge-based element of the course.
  • Develop personal learning and thinking skills in six key areas: independent enquiry, creative thinking, reflective learning, team-working, self-managing and effective participation.
