An opportunity has arisen to join DS Smith Packaging at our Sheerness site. 

The Office Administrators role is a broad role where you will get to work with all areas of the business and support the various departments, focusing mainly with our commercial and sales teams along with carrying out general administrative duties.

The successful candidate will be working within the Customer Service department to provide a quality service of support to the management structure, estimating, reporting and general administrative duties in order to meet the requirements of the business.

Training will be provided both onsite and on external courses.  With the support of the various departments on site you will get to learn about all the different areas of the business as you develop into the role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Commercial and Sales team
  • Data input & processing
  • Provide a quality customer service experience to both internal teams and external
  • Preparing reports for review and analysis
  • Answering the telephone and ensuring a high standard of customer service
  • General Office administration duties
  • Liaising with both internal staff and external clients
  • Filing and handling all incoming and outgoing mail
  • Accurate data entry and management of an ERP system

 


Requirements and prospects

  • A full/clean UK driving licence is desirable but not essential

Qualifications required

A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18-year-old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.
