Canon is a Global Blue-Chip Company. We have a philosophy of ‘Kyosei’ which means living and working together for the common good, and this underpins our business and our sustainability programme.  We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Business Administration Apprentice Level , during your apprenticeship you will work towards your Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration.

In the UK, Canon complies with a number of international standards in the areas of Environmental, Quality, Health and Safety and Business Continuity Management as well as Information Security.  As part of a wider European team our Sustainability Division is focussed on delivering programmes to highlight our ethical stance, and our role as a global citizen.

During the period of your apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to experience a variety of aspects of our business assurance programme as well as interface with different parts of our business. You will become familiar with different ISO standards, help develop and deliver policies, procedures and support their implementation.  You will work on our internal and external audit programme and manage documentation and communication (internal and external) relating to the subject matter. We have a wide breadth of responsibility from supporting customer tenders, to addressing green procurement, organising events for sustainability programmes, delivering training and awareness programmes, and carrying out audits and inspections.

You will liaise with colleagues across the whole organisation including our sales and service force, management, our wider team in Europe, colleagues in other countries, external suppliers and organisations, site managers and staff at a variety of different levels.   This will involve some travel around the UK.

This is an opportunity to gain experience in a governance and compliance role, as well as gaining recognised qualifications in standards auditing, whilst working with an experienced team, and having an opportunity to get involved in a number of diverse projects.
