This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Apprentice Support Worker, working in a supported living residence with 9 service users for Credence Care.

Duties include:

  • Assisting service users in the community.
  • Personal care.
  • Supporting service users with various medical appointments.
  • House work duties.
  • Promoting service users to be independent.
  • Assisting with cooking.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour.
  • Attend staff meetings and hand overs.
  • Follow health and safety procedures.

You will need to be a confident person with a centre personal approach, and have a understanding and caring nature.  To have a caring nature, to be a good listener and very understanding of others, to be a team player with good communication skills.

You need to be a confident, caring person who has a genuine interest in caring for others. You will need to be patient, open minded and a good communicator.

Qualifications required

No specific qualifications required as full training is to be provided. However basic Maths and English skills are desirable.

The earliest required start for this role will be 7am and the latest required finish will be 9pm. The hours are as follows, 7am-3pm, 1pm-9pm, on a 7 day working rota. Training provider

As an Apprentice you will be included on a Level 2 Health and Social Care Qualification, this will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor who will visit you on a regular basis, to deliver the training and coach the Apprentice and will be observing whilst you work.
