For example, in 2006 a sub-contractor was employed to carry out duct fitting, this person’s work ethic and high standard of work led to permanent employment at McCulloughs. He was then encouraged to attend training courses and gain experience in other areas to become a Master Craftsman - carrying out air conditioning and ventilation installations. By developing his skills and gaining experience he became a Project Manager and in 2015 became a Director of the Company. If the employed Apprentice demonstrates an eagerness to learn, produces high standard of work, and strives to continuously improve this could lead to: permanent employment, access to relevant training and career development/progression.
