Facts International Ltd is one of the UK’s foremost market research companies specialising in a full range of research services direct to major UK and international clients. Facts International is based in Ashford, Kent and is part of the Chime Insight & Engagement Division of Chime Communications Ltd.

Their IT department is responsible for ensuring the smooth operations of their large Call Centre and national remote network of users.

This is an entry level role suitable for someone who is looking to start a career within IT. As part of a busy team, you will report to the ISS Director and work alongside other desktop technicians to provide internal support to staff and the companies systems. A priority is ensuring that the communications centre is fully operational providing maximum availability to its users.

You will spend one day a week at Canterbury College and the other four days will be spent in the office for the duration of 12 months.

Your duties will include:

  • Answering helpdesk telephone calls
  • To assist in the provision of front-line support for user problems covering the company’s standard hardware, mobile hardware and software applications
  • To log error notifications and provide an appropriate response based on priority
  • To assist in diagnosing and repairing faults, providing basic hardware maintenance of PC’s, printers/fax/scanners, ticket machines, commentary systems etc. and deal with third party maintenance suppliers as required
  • Installation/relocation of Hardware/Software
  • Auditing assets
