Whitesmore Neighbourhood Nursery in Birmingham are seeking a Nursery Apprentice to join their team to study Level 3 Childcare.

Some of the duties you will undertake will include:

  • Supervise children’s play and learning activities
  • Support children's hygiene routines
  • Assist at meal times and with feeding
  • Contribute to planned programmes of activities
  • Liaise with parents and carers
  • Follow Health and Safety at all times

Apprenticeship Highlights:

  • You will gain a nationally recognised qualification in an Advanced Diploma in in Children’s and Young Person's Workforce.
  • As part of your Apprenticeship you will learn how to:
  • Organise activities calendars
  • Ensure all duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner
  • You will receive onsite training with an award winning training provider
  • Learn life skills
  • To maintain high standards throughout the nursery, implementing all policies and procedures at all times.

As an Apprentice you will be included on a Early Years Educator Level 3 Qualification.

Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

Qualifications required

Future prospects

On completion of the Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce, you may be offered a permanent position with the nursery and progression through the nursery. Wage will increase after probationary period ends.

Things to consider

Public transport is available - buses and trains. All applicants must be aged over 17 years to be counted in Child - Adult ratios. Please note you could be asked to interview earlier than date given, as we are looking to fulfil the positions as soon as possible. Please ensure you apply early to avoid disappointment. Employment is subject to a DBS check.

About the employer

All curriculum topics are delivered in a combination of fun child- initiated manner and some in an adult led way allowing children to learn at their own pace. Educational skills developed through the EYFS will prepare your child/ children for a smooth transition into full time education.
