You will be a pivotal member of the team providing admin support, gaining skills and qualifications to develop key administration duties and the opportunity to progress into a recruitment role.

The day to day duties involved in the administration role will include:

• Dealing with all incoming enquiries face to face and over the phone (3 ring rule)
• Greeting clients/candidates at the reception desk including walk-ins and appointments
• Issuing candidates with registration forms and ensuring cards are topped up
• Writing jobs up
• Sending CVs
• Data entry and ensuring the database management
• Registering candidate cards in the registration book
• Completing postal registration candidate cards for Consultants
• Finding Candidate cards for Consultants
• Filing candidate cards, including finding references and documents first
• Setting candidate's up on the test suite
• Checking consultant draws and topping up
• Date stamping all incoming post and distributing
• Documenting all outgoing mail and taking to the Post box/office
• Cutting out newspaper adverts and finding telephone numbers
• Filing documents, ‘Lost Jobs', references, CV's, candidate cards (alphabetical)
• Clearing out ‘old' candidate cards at the end of the year
• Scanning and Photocopying (to include; stamping and dating ID documents)
• Changing print toners, drums, paper
• General cleaning and tidying
• Empty recycling box daily
• Closing of reception at the end of the day, including a general tidy up and switch off computers and lights and turn on answer machine
• Other admin duties as required

The post holder will be able to demonstrate strong organisational and team working skills. They will have a good general knowledge of ICT packages and demonstrate a high level of spoken and written literacy.

Qualifications required

Grades 9 - 6 in Maths and English at GCSE or equivalent essential

The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 18 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training. * Please note that anyone under the age of 18 will only work a maximum of 40 hours per week.
