The successful candidate will be introduced to the various functions of the business including machining, production, calibration, purchasing, design, sales and technical support.

Upon joining, the successful candidate will start by working on mechanical and electronic product assembly, this will help build product familiarity and give an opportunity to show attention to detail and a good work ethic. Experience will also be gained in other areas of production including product calibration and manual machining. CNC machining experience will be offered with one of our partner suppliers. During your time in production you will also learn some of our standard processes such as goods-in and despatch. This will lead in to purchasing and an introduction to our drawing and coding system. Time will also be spent learning and using our Autodesk Inventor Lt 2D/3D CAD package and being involved in the design process.

Once familiar with the product range, time will be spent carrying out calibration processes and learning the fundamental principles of variable area type flowmeters and the use of prediction calculations to convert readings to alternative gases and liquids, and pressure and temperature conditions. This knowledge will be invaluable when moving on to spend time with our Sales and Technical Support staff, answering customer queries and requests for quotations. This will lead to a good knowledge of the applications for our products and competing technologies.

Enthusiastic and able completion of tasks and college courses will be rewarded with the opportunity of further day release for suitable courses to be undertaken.
