We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to assist with quality assurance to ensure our customers have a consistent, high quality experience.

The Role

  • Prepare and maintain test plans and risk assessment
  • Configure and maintain computer systems
  • Carry out fault finding and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Report test coverage and provide feedback to developers and project teams

Desired Qualification

  • 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C in English & Mathematics)

Knowledge

Essential

  • Good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft products and operating systems
  • Good troubleshooting knowledge of hardware and software issues

Desirable

We would also be interested to know about your experience and knowledge of any of the following:

  • TCP/IP Networks
  • Windows server environments
  • iOS/Android platforms
  • Usability testing

Training provider

  • City & Guilds Intermediate Diploma in ICT Professional skills, including an industry certification (Microsoft MTA or CIW ­ Certified Internet Web Professional), together with on­site training by the employer.
  • TDM Wyre Academy delivers Advanced and Higher apprenticeship programmes that equip young people with the skills for a career in technology.
  • For those starting at Advanced (Level 3), the expected duration would be 15 months. There is an opportunity to progress on to the Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) and then on to Degree Level.
