The successful candidate will have the opportunity to start their career in a national organisation with great prospects.

You will be working towards your L2 Business Admin apprenticeship by assisting in a range of duties relevant to your studies, you will also be set aside time to complete your learning.

Duties include:

  • Undertake reception duties as required, ensuring a high level of customer service, both over the telephone and face to face.
  • Administration of payroll
  • Dealing with customers on a regular basis, by phone, email and letter
  • Taking and producing meeting minutes
  • Compiling data and producing reports
  • General office admin
  • Maintaining stock levels of PPE and stationery
  • Sending and receiving emails
  • Organising post and distributing to correct teams
  • Filing
  • Photocopying
  • Data input and updating Biffa’s management information systems and bespoke databases.

Requirements and prospects

Excellent numeracy and literacy, good attention to detail and accuracy, excellent customer service

Personal qualities

  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of good customer service.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently but to ask for assistance when needed

Qualifications required

GCSE Maths and English A – C (9 - 4) or equivalent qualifications

Future prospects

Possible permanent position upon completion of apprenticeship or progression of training and qualifications for a committed individual
