    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Duties include:

  • Printing cash balances (Monday and Thursday morning).
  • Requesting up to date valuations from providers or obtaining valuations on-line for client review reports.
  • Taking copies and binding client review reports as well as producing personal financial forms which will be sent with review letter.
  • Collecting post from the Post Room and distribute to relevant members of team. Also take post to the Post Room for sending.
  • Ensuring that new client packs are readily available and documentation is kept up-to-date.
  • Filing correspondence away.
  • Typing support when required.
  • Other general office duties and any other reasonable tasks as requested.

Training provider

On-the-job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Framework - consisting of the Intermediate NVQ Level 2, Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) and the Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) Workbook.

It may be necessary for you to complete Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT – subject to previous achieved grades.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training and Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
