    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Heavy goods vehicle technician apprentice wanted, we offer an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to learn the trade. We offer hands on learning in a relaxed and friendly environment. You would be assisting our mechanics in their day to day duties which could be anything from servicing to breakdowns. You will also be working alongside our WABCO expert to which you will learn more than most about ABS & EBS Systems.

Once apprenticeship is completed and you wish to stay we offer the opportunity to put you through your heavy goods licence and any other course that would benefit your daily tasks, there is also room to grow and progress within the company.

Full time post will be available when training is completed, we also give you the opportunity of a heavy goods licence and any other course to help in your daily duties

Training provider

This is  level 2 apprenticship through Walsall College in heavy goods vehicle maintenance and repair. Your apprenticeship could also include functional skills maths and English, this will depend on your previous qualifications.
