    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

  • Specifically, this role focuses on the administration of construction projects, such as issuing drawings, ensuring all documentation is up to date and overall allowing both office and site activities to run smoother and more efficiently.
  •  A key role will be dealing with our ISO 90001 accreditation and carrying out audits where required. 
  • The candidate will work in our Derby office with the rest of the team and will be an important part of our day to day activities.

  • The candidate needs to be organised, and be able to deal with a number of tasks at any given time.  Although support will be provided, they’ll be expected to work independently at times.

Qualifications required

  • Minimum of  GCSE C’s or equivalent  in English and Maths.

Full time employment along with possible further training to degree level.

Things to consider

This job involves working closely with a small team and the candidate will need to be reasonably personable.  The job will also involve using a computer for long periods of the day.
