This is a fantastic opportunity to earn whilst you learn with an award winning provider whilst working at The Wolds Café! You will be required to work as part of a small team and full training would be given to allow you to work in both kitchen and front of house based tasks.

Your duties will include;
•Meet and greet customers
•Serving food and preparing hot and cold drinks
•Ensure the customer’s needs are met at all times
•Process card and cash payments
•Maintain the highest levels of customer service
•Keep tables and work surfaces clean and tidy
•Table relaying and clearing
• Assisting the Chef with food preparations for service
•Preparing and serving food orders
•Completing daily kitchen cleaning tasks to maintain a high level of hygiene
•Adhere to all health and safety laws and licensing laws.

Full training will be given as part of the work place induction process and you will be supervised whilst on shift. We are looking for the right person to train and develop to become part of our busy team. As an Apprentice you will be included on a Hospitality Team Member Qualification specialising in Food and Beverage Service. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

We are a small team so being friendly, flexible and a good team worker are essential. We require good communication skills, punctuality and attention to detail.

Personal qualities

The Café does get very busy at peak times so we need someone who can stay calm under pressure and can consistently maintain high service standards. We are looking for the right person to train and develop to help run the business in the long term.

Qualifications required

No qualification are required as full training will be given.

Future prospects

For the right candidate there will be the opportunity to develop your career by training to work individually in the kitchen and front of office areas to supervise service as well as progressing to completing food orders and in the long term supporting the day to day running of the business.

Things to consider

As a Café in a small but growing market town we get extremely business during peak times so we need to be focused and hard working to maintain the good reputation we have gained. Weekend work will be required but we do not open on a evening so all shift will be daytime based.
