An excellent opportunity for a focused and ambitious individual to be trained as a Supply Chain Warehouse Operative. Due to the nature of the role it is important that candidates have the ability to function well individually and as part of a very busy team and in a safe manner

The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Intermediate Level Apprenticeship
Goods in - Monitoring expected deliveries. Planning location - where they will go (quartz/granite/marble). What order will they be used. Liaise with manager/sawyer. Receive goods - quantity/quality check. Highlight discrepancies. Label stock correctly.
Manage stock - Ensure material is ready for each job - highlight correct material to sawyers. Ensure condition is perfect. Any imperfections/damaged stock to be used needs to checked to ensure a workaround is in place or identify issue with manager early to order sufficient material on time. Ensure any stock used is reported to manager to delete from stock list. Liaise with sawyers to manage off-cuts into inventory. Keep inventory list up to date, all current stock to be identified correctly, sized, labelled and stored in a traceable location to ensure ready for annual audit. Ensure yard is kept tidy and organised.
Goods out - All jobs to be checked against spec to ensure quantity and quality of pieces. If we fit jobs - check all pieces on frame ready for fitting teams and paperwork ready. If we do not fit the job - customer needs to be informed to collect or delivery arranged.

Professional appearance, good verbal communications, good team skills, and ability to work under pressure and to pay close attention to task details and site safety at all times. A flexible and reliable approach to all work tasks
Maths - English - ICT (GCSE A - E Grades - or equivalent).
