An excellent opportunity has become available for a business admin apprentice to join the team at Workwear Express. This established business, who specialises in personalised workwear, uniform and promotional clothing, has almost three decades experience of the industry and pride themselves on their outstanding quality and customer service. The purpose of the role is to assist the finance department while working on reception. You will develop your skills and learn all aspects of the role supported by their expert staff.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Diary management
  • Franking and distributing mail
  • Being a witness in official HR reviews
  • Assist in record keeping for human resources
  • Supporting the purchase ledger clerk in controlling the ledger
  • Matching invoices to delivery notes, and filing when appropriate
  • Build relationships with your dedicated suppliers, request copy invoices and statements when required and resolve queries when they arise
  • Help to keep the sales ledger clean by removing small balances each month
  • Match credit notes to return notes
  • Prepare a weekly credit note analysis document
  • Help prepare for the month end accounts
  • Control bank reconciliations and help keep them up to date
  • Prepare and post journals if required

Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour from 1st April 2017. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
