About the employer

Stephenson Group was established in 1856 and using 'Creative Chemistry', we create sustainable growth by making it simple for our customers to innovate. We're a leading innovator and manufacturer of specialty ingredients, bases and process materials, with expertise across multiple sectors - as diverse as personal care and cosmetics, to carbonated beverages, and textile finishing. A large percentage of the company's turnover is reinvested in chemical research, logistics, business communications and environmental initiatives. Stephenson Personal Care is a division of Stephenson Group, which develops and manufactures a wide range of specialty soap bases, alongside a new range of cosmetic ingredients, for the personal care industry. Our clients include The Body Shop, and we’ve also got Hollywood creds - testing out the real life viability of Brad Pitt's character's liposuction soap in the Fight Club movie, and providing the soap-snow in Die Hard 2 - just for fun! Our products were even used by US President Barack Obama as part of a presidential campaign stunt – and we once built an entire bathroom out of soap for a conceptual art student at Central St Martin’s school of design.
