David Hall Publishing have a passion for writing and sell popular magazines about angling, shooting and country pursuits. Established in 1985, they aim to have the best fishing magazines on the planet and have ventured as far out as Europe. Due to their continued success they are now looking for an individual passionate about marketing to join their team.

About Apprenticeships

You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:

  • Maintaining the company website
  • Create bespoke websites for clients
  • Coding in HTML
  • Reporting on analytics
  • Working on client based projects

Requirements and prospects

This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

About the employer

We are one of the largest independent publishers of angling, shooting, country pursuits magazines and multi media in Europe and established in 1985. Today the Internet, Apps, Facebook, Twitter, film production, exhibitions and conferences are all part of our ever expanding portfolio.

We now employ 60 staff and publish seven consumer titles and three trade titles, two of which are global.

In October 2012 we moved into a new custom built 12,000 sq ft unit in Daventry, bringing the entire company under one roof for the first time in a decade. The new unit will allow us to develop the internet, film and new media side of the business in the coming years. These are exciting times at DHP, the media world is changing and we are changing with it!
