    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Ironbridge Fine Arts & Framing is a family run business situated in the picturesque Shropshire town of Ironbridge.

As an Apprentice Customer Service Assistant you will be working in a varied and exciting role, your main duties and responsibilities will include two main areas:

  • Supporting the bespoke assembly of the Gunning Arts Printing Presses which are distributed all round the world

Picture Framing

  • Provide customers with the best level of customer care when selecting artwork or framing.
  • You will be trained fully to cut glass, cut mounts
  • Create frames from lengths of moulding, fully assembling the piece of work.

Things to consider

This is a physical, hands on role that will require enthusiasm and passion to work within an exciting and passionate business. The role would also require some placement at Linley Brook on the road towards Bridgnorth, however transportation can be discussed.

As part of the Customer Service apprenticeship, the successful applicant will need to attend an induction session plus a literacy/numeracy diagnostic and attend Functional Skills tests at our centre. They will also need to learn about Employer Rights and Responsibilities and document Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PTLS) throughout their programme. The Technical Certificate can be achieved either by online tests or assignments which can be completed in the workplace.
