Duties to include:

  • ETA calls to customers on the day prior to delivery
  • Delivery follow up calls to customers after delivery requesting feedback
  • Entering Container Repair Estimates on to spreadsheets / Amending Purchase Orders
  • Sending Padlocks to customers
  • Click to scan documents (Scanning in documentation we want to keep so it can be shredded to keep us ‘paper free’)
  • Live Order reports - cross checking the live order paperwork is correct
  • Stock Cross checking – highlighting any discrepancies
  • Chasing stray containers which have not yet arrived from China
  • Updating spreadsheets with vessel ETAs for units being delivered from China
  • Checking off invoices against purchase orders
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Hotel/Trains/Flights Bookings
  • Office shopping - Ordering stationary, decals, water, tea, coffee etc for office and depots
  • Answering the phones when required, dealing with queries and taking messages
  • Office administration tasks
  • Folding Invoices for accounts department
  • Assisting with mailshots/letters/cards sent to customers
  • Industry Research as/when required
  • Creating Reports/Data Entry tasks
  • Communications with Depots and Competitors when required to check availability for work/stock

Qualifications required

Things to consider

At times our office can be very busy with the need to prioritise work loads and be flexible regarding hours of work. Pay Rates: The current NMW rate for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour with effect from 1st April 2017. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training. For more information visit: Apprentices need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in the industry with a contract of employment. Shortlisting/Interviews - Shortlisting and interviews will take place throughout the duration of the vacancy ad. Mr Box are a division of Mobile Mini UK, a leading hirer of portable site accommodation and secure storage containers, with its global headquarters in Arizona, USA and UK operations based in Stockton-on-Tees.
Mr Box was formed in 2000 and became part of the Mobile Mini family in December 2016. We supply secure storage containers, steel portable accommodation units, container conversions and chemicals stores. Equipment is offered both for sale and rental and as either new or second-hand. We have offices in both Ipswich and London and are able to supply the whole of the UK from a range of local depots.
Our customers work in a diverse range of industries including shipping, self-storage, construction, the public sector, education, leisure, events, distribution, civil and marine engineering and defence. Mr Box see the container as playing an important role in many businesses – as a solution to their secure storage and office space needs.
Our containers are available in a range of sizes from 8 to 40 foot long and in various designs. Containers are strong and versatile; they can be used for temporary or permanent storage purposes, or can be converted for other uses.

Training provider

Qualification: Business Admin L3
No College Attendance:
Training for all job specific tasks will be given. In addition the apprentice will have the support and guidance of a qualified assessor from the college, who will make on-site visits every 6-8 weeks. There may be the occasional need to attend either the Otley or Easton campus for short training courses and tests.
