We are looking for someone with a warm nature, a can-do attitude and attention to detail, going above and beyond customer expectations every time.

  • Running fitness classes and personal training.
  • Talking to customers, demonstrating equipment, supporting the delivery of fitness classes.
  • They will be required to cover reception and input data in to the membership and management system

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • As a minimum Level 2 gym instructor qualification  
  • Working towards personal trainer qualification 
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Commitment to continued personal development
  • Understanding of the importance of health and safety and following procedures 
  • First Aid Skills (training will be provided if valid qualification not already held)

  • Ability to prioritise workload and remain focused under pressure

Qualifications required

GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent.

Dependent on attitude and performance during the apprenticeship, there are a wide range of training opportunities available throughout the University, with a Campus that is constantly developing and £50m of investment in leisure facilities on the way, ready for Autumn 2019, these are truly exciting times to be part of the Warwick Sport team. With a University wide strategic objective to ‘promote staff and student experience and a healthy campus’ this role will be vital in helping to ensure we provide a customer experience that keeps people coming back again and again.

Things to consider

This role will involve cleaning equipment, picking up after customers, tidying the gym and talking to customers. There will be a high expectation that the successful person will be friendly and approachable by all ages and types of members.
