Learning Skills Partnership are a training provider based in Hessle. We deliver apprenticeships in Construction and Automotive across the country and could be the opportunity you are looking for. We are looking to recruit a new member to our very busy Administration Team and as a training provider, we specialise in developing people’s skills and confidence helping them progress in their career. We are currently going through one of the busiest times we have experienced as a company and this is set to continue! This means that we are now in the exciting position of being able to take on a new apprentice in the team, someone who can learn and grow with the company just as our previous apprentices have done. The successful candidate will undertake a Level 2 qualification in Business Administration and will receive on the job training both from one of our qualified tutors and also from the other members of the admin team. The admin team are responsible for the smooth running of the business, constantly working behind the scenes to ensure learners are properly enrolled onto the correct courses, paper work is compliant, hotel bookings are made and much more!

Main duties include:

  • General administration support
  • Hotel bookings
  • Register learners onto BKSB system
  • Prepare learner enrolment packs and dispense
  • Process stationery orders
  • Data reports
  • Process test bookings
  • Monitor compliance requirements
  • Ensure incoming enrolment pack paperwork is filed in an auditable order and send working documents to the Tutor
  • Filing
  • Organise outgoing post using online system
  • Greet visitors
  • Answer incoming calls when required
  • Maintain the photocopier – order toner, call out engineer as required
  • Monitor confidential waste and arrange collections

Working for a growing company such as Learning Skills Partnership, we require someone with a flexible attitude to work. Someone who will get stuck in and be happy learning new things and adding to their knowledge and experience, taking on new responsibilities as they grow. It’s important that the successful candidate has a polite telephone manner as well as the ability to meet and greet visitors to the company in a professional manner. Ideally you will have GCSE’s (or equivalent) in Maths and English at C or above however this isn’t essential as we can support the successful candidate in achieving these. You will be joining a team of 3 others including Sarah, the Administration and Compliance Manager who has worked for the company from the beginning and will support you in your training and in achieving your qualification. The company is based on Hessle foreshore (between all the car garages) where we have been for the last 6 years; a great location with easy access to the A63/Clive Sullivan Way for getting in and out of Hull and only a 10-minute walk to Hessle train station. Our location offers lots of options at lunch time too with McDonalds, Subway and a Sainsbury’s all close by. Learning Skills Partnership is a great place to work (but of course we would say that!) with around 30 staff in total we regularly get together as a company, whether it’s a social event out of work or downing tools on a Friday to order in Pizza’s and get into a food coma for a while! If you think this opportunity sounds perfect for you we’d love to hear from you; send us an application or give us a call if you have any questions.
