The role of the Administration Apprentice for Events is to help provide a professional and effective administration function for all the leisure facilities. This is a really varied opportunity as the successful candidate will be learning about:

Organising back office functions such as invoicing, purchase orders, liaising with hirers and block bookings, for example:

  • Assisting the current admin team with block bookings and issuing contracts to customers
  • Keeping income records and inputting financial and statistical data into spreadsheets
  • Reconciling purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes
  • Updating the Events spreadsheet
  • Dealing with customer enquiries by phone, email and face to face
  • Collating facility hire data and preparing invoices
  • Distributing marketing material
  • Keep records and filing up to date
  • Help the events team with organising and setting up events

Qualifications required

Minimum of four GCSEs at grade C or 4 and above or equivalent,   including English and Maths. Candidates with A level or equivalent Level 3 qualifications and degree holders who have no previous qualification within this field are also able to apply.

On successful completion of your apprenticeship you could apply for a permanent advertised position and continue your career path.

Training provider

BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration, Functional Skills in Maths, English and IT Level 1, and Employers Rights and Responsibilities. One day a week at College for six months of the twelve month course.

You will receive in-house training on the job.
