As a sofware tester with Digital3rd you'll start your career using your skills and knowledge to test our client apps, software and websites.  You'll write test strategies outlining how you'll test a product and learn how to write test scripts and capture the results in a range of environments.

A typical day could include trying to break an app log in page in the moring, emailing the results to an overseas development team then moving on to test the security of a web page in the afternoon.

During this time, you'll be working alongside developers, learning their language (agile, scrum, sprint) and adding value to thier work fron Day one.  In addition, you'll be learning or improving your coding skills giving you the option of progressing to experienced testing roles or moving into junior development positions.

This role would suit someone with a proven interest in technology.

Ideally you'll have some experience of coding in your spare time, e.g you've completed Code Academy courses, developed a solution or you've loved the coding element of your Computer Science GCSE or A Level but the most important thing is you can evidence logical thinking, problem solving and that you have an interest in making digital solutions better.

Qualifications required

You'll need to have 5 GCSE's Grade A-C (or equivalents) including English Language and Maths with an interest in business and an aptitude for technology.
