    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

Will be given excellent experience and training in all aspects of childcare within an Ofsted rated Outstanding nursery.

Must be able to work between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday

  • Will be responsible for key group of children
  • To have an understanding and ability to put into practice Safeguarding policies and procedures for every child.
  • To ensure that each child is treated as an individual and that their development needs are met on an ongoing basis through the Child base Approach and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
  • To ensure every child, family and colleague matters by implementing Inclusive Practice and working in partnership.

Things to consider

Must be flexible to work between the hours of 8.00 am - 6.00 pm Monday - Friday The Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From April 2017 the ANMW was set at £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
