Things to consider

You do not have to work late nights, bank holidays or Christmas! The Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): From April 2017 the ANMW was set at £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.

About the employer

Three Hills Sports Park is home to a number of sports clubs based in Folkestone: Folkestone Optimist Hockey Club, Folkestone Cricket Club and Folkestone Running Club. However in 2007 the facilities at the Cheriton Road ground were in a very poor condition, and not fit for purpose. Playing surfaces were in poor repair and the existing pavilion required substantial renewal that was considered uneconomic. Roger De Haan encouraged the clubs to develop ambitious plans to expand the range of amenities at the site, and funded the design and build of a magnificent new building, amounting to nearly £7 million.
