Duties will include:

  • Answer and relay telephone calls, emails and other correspondence as required.
  • Accept and handle incoming calls, acting as a point of contact. Transferring calls to other members of staff.
  • Manage personal inbox.
  • Make refreshments for office staff and guests.
  • Meet and greet visitors into the office.
  • Prepare and frank outgoing post.
  • Organise incoming post and pass to relevant staff members.
  • Record monthly stationery stock and assist in ensuring that stationery is replenished.
  • Assist with creating reports, writing letters and other written documents.
  • Responsible for shredding confidential paperwork.
  • Maintain correct filing systems. Assisting other departments with their filling.
  • Arrange and participate in meetings with NVQ provider, discussing ongoing coursework.
  • Ensure that coursework is kept up to date and completed within given deadline dates.
  • Report to Team Leaders with any problems or queries.
  • Complete general office duties and providing general administrative support to the Administrators and Team Leaders.
  • Demonstrate the core values and professionalism of the company.
  • Demonstrate and achieve inspirational behaviours of the behavioural framework.

Things to consider

Based in a rural location so consideration to your journey from home to work is important. The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year. The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over. Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
