Responsibilities included in this role:

  • Maintenance of a safe, hygienic and secure working environment
  • Working effectively as part of a hospitality team
  • Serve food at the table
  • Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
  • Serve alcoholic and soft drinks
  • Keep up to date with new products, menus and promotions
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and licensing laws
  • Be involved and contribute at all team meetings
  • Carry out instructions as given by management and head office

In line with standard working hours within the industry this vacancy is less than 30 hours per week. The overall duration of the apprenticeship is therefore extended accordingly.

From 1st of April 2017 the National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 or over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. Those between the ages of 19-24 who are in their second year (or third year) need to be paid the National Minimum Wage for their age bracket. In April 2016 the new National Living Wage was implemented and therefore if you are over the age of 25 and in your second or third year of an Apprenticeship you will be entitled to be paid the National Living Wage. About the employer

Our restaurant is beautifully renovated with oak floors and character features. We have a conservatory on the side as well as al fresco patio seating for 40. We also have a private dining room, a separate bar area and a fishmonger counter.
