Working within a busy warehouse department, you will be responsible for receiving goods into the warehouse from suppliers and ensuring the goods arriving are correct and of a high quality standard.

This will be carried out by checking the invoices against the orders from the suppliers.

The warehouse department is also responsible for the timely packaging, postage and delivery of customer orders being shipped out.

You will be part of a team that manage the stock control and storage of all Quilted Bear products ensuring that the work space meets strict Health and Safety standards.

Daily duties will include:

  • Receiving goods in from suppliers.
  • Checking good received against invoices.
  • Managing the safe and timely delivery of goods to customers.
  • Stock controlling all Quilted Bear products.
  • Packing and shipping out customer goods.
  • Ensuring that all stock movement is recorded on the company IT systems.
  • Delivering good customer service to all Quilted Bear departments.
  • Quality assuring all goods that are sent to customers.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Qualifications required

GCSE (or equivalent) grades A*-D in English and Maths.

The Quilted Bear are offering a fantastic opportunity for career progression. The successful applicant can work towards becoming the Receiving Manager or Stock Control Manager. From April 2017 this rises to £3.50 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
