About the employer

McCann Central is a fully integrated ‘Communications House’ offering a complete range of marketing services including: Advertising, Branding, PR, Direct Marketing, Design, CRM, Digital, Media Planning and Buying, Collateral Production, Event Management, Strategy, POS and Promotion. Based predominantly in the Solihull with offices in Bristol and Milton Keynes we're the local face of the largest agency network in the world. We are a team of 400 people, each experts in their own fields, who can also collaborate together to produce incredible work. Here’s a few things that make it a great place to work. Our Clients: We have an enviable client list that spans every sector and embraces every type of consumer. There’s too many to mention them all, but a few you might have heard of include Vauxhall cars, Barclays Bank, Sunseeker Yachts, Hardys Wines, Admiral Insurance, Crown Paints, Tenpin Bowling, National Express, Anglian Windows, Triumph Motorcycles. You get the picture Our Creativity: We believe creativity sells. Scratch that, we know creativity sells. From the simplest idea to the most complex strategy, creativity is the only way to prosper in an increasingly competitive world. It differentiates, entertains and persuades. And it helps brands and businesses play a meaningful role in people's lives. Creativity, in the form of ideas, stories and messages, has the power to capture people's imaginations and move them to change their views, make choices and take action. And when integrated into people's journeys through life, creative ideas connect, get shared and inspire action. That's why creativity is at the heart of our business strategy. Done well, it gets results. Every time. And it’s won us a barrow load of awards including a Cannes Lion. Our Culture & Benefits: McCann Central is its people. You help make the agency an enjoyable and successful place to work. Like our people, the agency has distinct characteristics, a personality and values that set us apart in our industry. Our values are explained below in terms of what we stand for as an agency and what we look for from your behaviour when you turn up to work each day. ● Entrepreneurial – having a proactive mindset in a rapidly changing business, taking calculated risks to think differently, having a can-do approach to everything we do. ● Persistence – never give up, have determination and an approach that says ‘I always find a way’. ● Integrity – thinking ‘if this was my business and money, what would I do?’, being open and honest, telling the truth even when it’s hard, doing the right thing. ● Collaboration – going out of your way to help others, with everyone involved a better outcome will unfold, team spirit. ● Curiosity – asking questions and looking for what others don’t see is the cornerstone of a curious mind and the DNA of our success. We expect our employees to take time to understand, respect and support our core values, using them as guiding principles for how we do things at McCann Central. According to recent surveys, 8 out of 10 clients would strongly recommend us and 97% of employees are proud to work here. They also enjoy a host of benefits too. Having parked in your free parking space, enjoyed your free breakfast and settled into your recently refurbished office, you'll be ready to start working on some of the biggest brands around. If it's your birthday, you'll find a bottle of wine or some delicious snacks on your desk. If it's Friday, there's free chocolate to snap up. And if we've won a pitch that week, lunch is on the house courtesy of chef Amz's top notch cuisine in our otherwise subsidised on-site bistro. Of course, we expect everyone to put in a decent shift. After all, going that bit further to deliver outstanding creativity and client service is what's made us the UK's most successful integrated marketing agency. But with 25 days holiday, flexible Friday, subsidised gym membership, free cinema tickets, and lots of social events it’s not all work and no play. Just as importantly, you'll work with amazing people and be exposed to everything from social media to television. You'll be learning all the time too, not just on the job but through the McCademy. Our training and development programme keeps your career developing at a sprightly and healthy pace. We have people who started in administration and now sit on the Board. Your career at McCann is what you want it to be – as we say, just Be Brave Bravery can mean many things – whether it is the little person taking on the big corporation, the visionary who risks ridicule from the sceptics, the quiet thinker who is prepared to stand up for what they believe in, the leader prepared to take a risk, or even the ‘meat-and-two veg’ traditionalist who is willing to try sushi for the first time. In general life it means so much, and within the agency it can apply to everyone. From a creative thought that challenges convention, to the account manager prepared to stick to their guns with a client, from the finance person who suggests there might be a better way of tackling a problem, to the team in studio who are up for learning some completely new skills. The list is endless. The challenges can be great or small. But the mind-set is the same. Be Brave is our call to action; for us as an agency, our people and our clients.
