As our motor vehicle apprentice you will be working alongside experienced technicians working on customer vehicles in the area of maintenance and repair.

The role will include working on and learning a number of skills including car servicing, MOT’s and general car repairs. You must have a genuine interest in motor vehicles, possess practical ability and have a real desire to become a technician.

You will need to attend college courses regularly and achieve the standards required by the course.

You will be required to assist technicians to carry out repairs according to company procedures in a safe and responsible manner.

There will be regular training throughout the apprenticeship which will assist you with developing your skills. This really is a fantastic opportunity to develop a career within the industry.

Things to consider

Training will take place at the business premises and be a ‘hands on’ approach alongside day release at college. Apprenticeship National Minimum Wage (ANMW): The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour from 1st April 2017. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
