    Wages explained

    The current National Minimum Wage for an apprentice is £3.50 an hour. This rate applies to apprentices under 19 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year.
    Apprentices must be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed their first year.
    The minimum wage rates are £5.60 an hour for 18-20 year olds and £7.05 for anyone aged 21 and over.
    Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).

    Over 5 days. We are open 6 days per week, closed Wednesday. You will have day release to college also.

There is every potential for permanent employment on successful completion of your apprenticeship.

Things to consider

Transport is not great in the area however we are located in the main Ashbourne to Buxton Road. You could consider the Derbyshire Wheels to Work scheme. A uniform is provided. Please consider that you may have to work unsociable hours such as evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Located in the heart of the Peak District we are lucky to be surrounded by so many local suppliers, who can deliver us the highest quality produce in order to create top class dishes. With our new bar, we are now offering a selection of local Real Ales such as Peak Ales Swift Nick, wines which have been sourced by John Hattersley Wines in Bakewell and a range of soft drinks and spirits. In regards to the menu; we have meat that has been reared in the surrounding fields, from New Close Farm in Over Haddon and EW Coates Butchers in Two Dales.
